So I am still trying to get my 15.4 (720P) projector going (400 watt LL bulb 220/550 18" beseler)
I think corner to corner focus is impossible
where are some pics and how are people doing it!

From what I've gleaned your setup should give acceptable results but the sweet spot will have a very narrow (relatively speaking) range of component placements compared to some others. My personal experience was that switching to a "small" arc lamp (575HMI) pretty much immediately gave me the results I craved. The "large" arc lamps are a bit more finicky in terms of adjustment. But in all honesty I've devoted so little time to truly and deeply understanding all the little bits and bobs of the theory behind these apparently simple projectors that I'm far from an actual expert. No doubt though that my small arc lamp was a major factor in getting me to where I am now. Best of luck.
Edit: I should have mentioned the switch to the 575HMI introduced its own set of different - but solvable - problems. I won't go into detail here.

Yeah I have thought about that (smaller bulb) but there is no way in heck I am going with a 575 heard to many problems and still hearing to many problems plus the life and price still puts me off. I guess right now I am kind of to the point of getting a PRO lens and new fres or getting the new lens thats out but it seems to me that new lens doesnt have as big a diameter to capture the BIG arc of the LL bulb?
