Okay.. Here is the deal..

I went looking for a used 15" LCD but I found them to be expensive for used panel (about $80-$110).. I thought its better to go with a new one.. I'll spend about $50 more, but I'll get a brand new panel, with better specs, plus the new panel is going to be a wide screen.

I found only 2 models, and I'm not sure which one to go with..

Samsung 632nw and Benq T52WA

The Samsung LCD is Wider (15.6" against 15") and has a higher contrast ratio (500:1 against 400:1), a higher resolution(1360x768 against 1280 x 720) which I think is because of the extra 0.6", a higher brightness (250cd against 200cd) and they both have the same respond time (8ms)

The Samsung LCD is kicking ass so far, But the Benq LCD has a better pixel pitch (0.259mm against 0.282mm), plus the Samsung LCD is a bit wider than my already made Haas box, I'd need to modify it incase of going with Samsung. Its not a big deal.. I'll modify it if its the way to go, but I though I mention it anyway as a downside for using Samsung.

The question is, Which one you think I should go with?

You will not notice the higher contrast. Contrast numbers are almost useless once the backlight and diffusers are stripped off.

And 1280x720 is native 720p , so nothing will be stretched. With the Samsung everything will be stretched to the Lcd's native resolution.

Hi jonjandran.. Thank you for responding..

I thought so too. I thought that since they both have the same respond time, I should go with the one with the higher pixel pitch since the image is going to be projected. so I thought the Benq would be better.. do you agree?
