I've gotten to the stage where I know the DigitalView ALR-1400 board is what I need for my LCD panel, but for pete's sake I can't find anywhere to buy it directly. Does anyone know where I could buy one of these babies?

unless someone has a better (cheaper?) controller board to use with my LCD. the model is a LG Phillps LP171W01 screen. Thanks!

Any particular reason you want to go with that panel? 17" wxga monitors are pretty common... it might be cheaper to buy a monitor than a controller for your panel! And if you don't mind 1280x720, the gateway fpd1775w is on closeout just about anywhere that still has stock (hdcp compliant and all). just my two cents.

well, to be honest, it's not exactly for a DIY projector. it's just a similar question, and I figured you guys would know about it more than anyone else.

what it is is for a DIY Cintiq type of monitor - i'm putting a tablet sensor inside the LCD panel so I can draw directly on-screen. anyway, the space between the panel and the tablet sensor has to be verrry thin - only about 0.5 cm, I reckon. so if you've got a monitor with that thickness, I'd be happy to hear about it.

edit: now that I look around more, the better forum for this would be Hardware Hacking. if someone could move it, I'd be very thankful.
