My cousins girlfriend saw the "Girl" test pattern tonight when I was showing off my PJ. She then sent me a link to the whole image that was used for it. Just thought that I would let everyone see it.
If you knew this already, great. If not, then I hope you find it as cool as I did.

WOW! Pretty cool, that.
The resolution of that picture must be pretty big to get the detail we see on just one of The Seven Sisters.
We are the Pleiades,
serving for Artemis, the goddess of the moon.
We are seven sisters,
twinkling all in one, above the back of Taurus.
We are dancing for the moon.
We are shining in the sky.
Flapping the cloths of pigeons.

Hi,
Is it possible to get a 1080p or larger version ?
Thanks,
Steve

Doesn't JPEG compression kinda ruin the purpose of this image? It makes the edges of the color blocks fuzzy and dirty. The whole point of an image like this is to check reproduction accuracy.
If someone would post where to get the max resolution copy of the girl (or some of the other images from that site), I would be happy to make a higher resolution test image.

All it takes is a little Google searching. The painter's name can be found on his website. The painting, itself, is called Pleiades.
So we go to Google with:
+Kagaya +PleiadesI found
this partial picture of the girl at a 1600 x 1200 resolution. I'm sure there are others in the series, but you may not find a higher resolution image.
I, personally, would like to see a high resolution test image for 720p and 1080p widescreen.

Use paladin's test program to avoid your compression objections.

All of the "desktop wallpaper" versions of her that I can find, which are the only high resolutions ones of her face that I have seen, are cropped. Specifically, the top of the flower on her head is cut off. I can start from that, but I would rather not.
