Ok. amazon sent me the wrong tuner box, so i'm waiting to get my money back for it. but I've been looking in the forums for other tuner cards and i'm getting overwelmed with all the different kinds of boxes. so if someone has any suggestions for a good tuner box I would really appreciate your help. I'm looking for a box with direct component inputs that dont degrade the signal down to 480i after conversion. and i dont want to pay more than $90.
Thanks in advance!
(BTW, I'm allmost done with my projector. I should be done tonight.)

ok I have another question. allot of the tuner cards out there have s-video inputs not component inputs. but they have a cord that converts s-video to component that comes with the tuner. My question is this, Can I still run a HD signal through the converter cord without losing allot of image quality?

I think what you are talking about is something different. For example, the Kworld 1680EX (not the R) has a different AV input on it that looks like S-video but it actually has something like 9 pins. This one is able, through the cable that it comes with to input s-video, RCA, or component, because they all use different pins. The VGA out port on this tuner is this as well and is a VGA plug on the opposite end. If that is the case it does NOT down convert the signal to 480i. If like the 1680R, it does only have the s-video, it will drop to 480i.

I understand that now. I had been mislead, thank you for your feedback!
I've been using the Kworld1680ex, I works like a charm!
