Full Version: Nview Spectra C-vertical lines

I have a NView Spectra C. I just started getting vertical lines across the images. I have both the remote and the manual. The manual states through troubleshooting that you need to adjust by using the phase key..which did not fix the problem. The lines are blue, red and yellow.

The lines are not visible until you turn on the machine. The cable/overhead/or computer are not the problem.

Any ideas on how to remove the vertical lines?

Are you able to take a picture of what you are seeing and post it here?

Here's a couple of pic's. Any ideas? Although you only see 2 red lines when the background is black you can see the blue and green lines.

I would suggest you take a magnifying glass and examine the FFC (flat flexible cable) that's above or below those lines you see. You may have damaged one of the FFCs.

Is this a repairable condition if the cable has been damaged? Since we have 7 lines does that mean we need 7 cables repaired or is it just one? Thanks for the info!

As I have never repaired a torn or damaged FFC, I can't help with that. I don't recall ever coming across anybody who has successfully repaired a damaged FFC.
You might want to check out the following Google search to see if it has been done and how: site:lumenlab.com +repair +torn +FFC

Just a heads-up for future posts of this type, you'll get more responses if you post to the Beginner's Forum.

Additional Google info:

A lot of the questions you might have probably have already been asked and answered several times. While most of us do not mind answering some of the same questions repeatedly, you might get more satisfaction in finding the answers yourself. Unfortunately, the built-in Search feature on most of these online forums is quite limited in what it can do. You might find it easier to search using Google using the "site" parameter. Below is an example:

Google search: site:lumenlab.com +"12.1" projector +plans

You can find other parameters by clicking the Google links in my signature.

You might run across a "quirk" when searching using Google, however. If you notice the thread looking "wonky" like this image, simply go up the the top right corner of the thread and click on Options and then Switch to: Standard.
