Hi all.

I remember reading inthe forum that we CANNOT (CANNOT again i say) use a 250 watt lamp in a Ballast rated for 575watt.

Now is that true?

A check with my MH lamp dealer, says its 'ok', its just that the lamp's life may be shortened.
He adds that in fact it may be more stable (light more consistent) to overamp the ballast (a bit) in relation to the lamp.

Anybody wanna try to see if it'll blow/explode? to prove this point? ohnoes.gif

guineapigs?.. I mean volunteers?

It "might" work for a little while. But most likely it will end badly.
