Hey,

After doing a lot of reading, I finally got everything figured out, to start building my own PJ. I'm going to build it around an 10.9" 720p HD LCD-kit with MST controller. Next a full overview of the stuff going to be used.

10.9" - 720p LCD kit with MST-controller
400W HQI - 38000 lumen light engine
lightbox with precondensor and UV/ir - filter

220mm rearfresnel
500mm frontfresnel
500mm triplet

and lots of other small stuff to build the PJ.

FocalCalc gave me a good result about my image and throw. Any remarks about my calculations? Did I mis something?

The projection will be 8° off center, so I need to keystone the image. My intention is to use lens-shift to move it that 8°, instead of keystoning. Although, I will use lens-shift, if testing proves to be better than keystoning.

I'm going for a vertical build, with a FS mirror just outside the PJ.

I hope to start testing and building within a few weeks ....

Any comments so far are welcome ....

I'll keep you guys informed

Hey dudes,

Have been busy in AutoDesk Inventor to get a good idea of how things will work out.

Below you already can see the box I'm going to use. At the moment, it's still a CD-cabinet with drawers. The drawers will be trunked, so only the front remaines. This way, I can close the box again, and still got all space inside to build rolleyes.gif

Behind the top drawer, I'll put my FS mirror, all the rest is build vertically.

I'm planning to do the rest of the designwork in Inventor this week .... so keep your eyes open.

If you feel like posting your comment, please do so ...
