Pity that a guy at non-expert design forum proposed a single-fresnel design (no collector fresnel design) got beat up by noobs who do not even understand the concept of image circle (One moderator there even claimed lumenlab projection lens has 17" image circle...)
However no-collector-fresnel design does deserve serious consideration as any experts know the main culprit is the collector fresnel that degrades Lumenlab projector's image quality. So I ask, has anyone succesfully built a projector without collector fresnel lens.... possibly converted an LF camera to a projector? We need to find a way to do away with collector fresnel split or unsplit to get commercial grade quality. (Unsplit design does not qualify)
