Hey, i'm thinking about making a psone projector and wanted to know if anyone knew if only the Psone portable screen made by Sony/Playstation would work or if a knock-off brand such as Intec or Pelican will work just the same?

Do the knock off ones have the yellow composite video hidden under the speaker cover too?

Any help would be awesome!
Thanks.

The Psone screen has been used a lot and will give the best results.

The knock-off brands look terrible.

And in case you didn't know the Zenith screens are the EXACT same on the inside as the Psone screen.

And less than $20 shipped : HERE

So this will do the exact same as the PS one screen? that awesome...I'm kinda a Newbie at this whole thing and my friend was going to help me on the building/wiring aspect i just wanted to get the screen ordered sooner rather than later so i could get workin on it.

Do you know what people have said about using the PSONE/Zenith monitors for a small projector? i'm getting mixed comments, some say it looks Terrible...but others say it looks real good for the price.

I'm not looking for a crystal Clear picture...just something to play some N64, SNES, PS2 on and watch DVD's...

Thanks for your help, i really appreciate it.

Yes the Zenith is the exact same as the PSone screen , same controller and same Lcd.

It will look fine as long as you aren't expecting HD resolution.

The max you will want to make the projection is about 80"

Yes.

SO i just receieved the Zenith Screen in the mail. I think I'm going to start putting it together on Monday. any tips/advice before i start?

The Zenith Screen came with a 1/8" pin output to X-box console...what do you think is the easiest way to get the Avi input?

Thanks a lot.
jonjandran
The easiest way to get av input is a 3.5mm stereo to RCA adapter.
