Full Version: FFC Extension problem

I didn't do my usual search for an hour so im sorry if this problem has been addressed before. I finished ripping my lcd down and i ripped the FFC cable a 1/4 of the way across so i decided to go ahead and cut the rest off and i am in the process of soldering wires to bypass the FFC.

My question is how much current is sent through the FFC and what size wire would i be safe using. I would love to use this 30awg enamel coated magnet wire i picked up from radioshack but i am worried it might be possible to burn this wire out in this application. I also have 26awg and 22 awg magnet wire but this would probably make the job that much harder using those gauges.

If it helps the lcd i am using is a:
LIQUIDVIDEO E15LCD1

EDIT: Not that it should matter but i have been calling it a FFC ( Flat Flexible Cable ) and correct me if im wrong since i am guessing at this acronym but the connection that ripped is really a FPC ( Flexible Printed Circuit )
