Hi all
I've read quite a few of the posts in the various forums. Most seem to be using projection panles and not LCD monitors. The plans also describe setup for a LCD monitor and don't mention projection panles. Which is the best route to go? How do the results from the 2 different methods compare?
If panels are the way to go, what do I need to look for?
Unfortunately, LCD projection panels are non-existent in South Africa but I can get a new 15" LCD monitor for +-$285. I would need to buy one from eBay and ship to down here so it could end up costing me about the same.
Thanks

we do use LCD monitors, only a few users have used the projection panels. most panels only support 640X480 res, some do 800X600... not sure if any go higher. but i find it better to use a new LCD monitor (current technology) compared to a panel.

How do you get your video signal (DVD,VHS,etc) to vga? Are you just using a LCD monitor or is it stripped from a laptop? I've got 2 old laptops lying around and would like to use those panels preferably without the rest of the laptop.
