More info is needed.

Like most people don't know it has to be a tooth PASTE and not a gel. Gels don't have the grit needed.

Also you want whitening toothpaste to make the whites whiter and brighter tongue.gif

Actually I think using Mothers Mag Polish is probably safer smile.gif

Dear All,

ok to begin with i used signal toothpaste here in Sri lanka we call it tooth paste /get same thing .i will give you guys some details as

Try this link to understand what AG IS
http://www.opticalcoatings.com/processes/glare.html

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/4806583.html

and what tooth paste or gel does is same thing as what you gus tryed sanding with sanding paper and by the way that sanding methord sucks coz it scrtches up the lcd and the scratches are visible try this insted and see the difference.

dear bro if people aggreed that it's better to stick to the ground without inventing the air plane we wouldnt have planes now would we soo try out new things be optimistic

Try it it will be worth the effort.

Thanks,
Regards,
Chamal.

sorry about the spelling mistakes i kinda have bad english

Umm I don't know if you are aware of this but here at Lumenlab we INVENTED AG removal AND Ag polishing. rolleyes.gif

Toothpaste use is low tech and not exactly comparable to inventing the airplane.

Thanks for the "suggestion" of using toothpaste but I think we have a much better way of doing it.

And for the record no-one here uses sandpaper to polish the AG. rolleyes.gif

Dear All,

Dont think that the grit it there the AG Layer is made out of plastic (4 Layers) if tooth gell can remove the scratches on glass why not plastic???? and by the way i did the same thing when i ment with an accident i have a bile the front light was scratched and i removed the scratch with this toothpaste now almost a year and half the platic serface of theHead light didnt discolor or no side effects so far so i know this is safe and the jom is neet and by the way start from the middle and polish arroud it's eazyer that way.

Thanks,
Regards,

Read before I speak ? Be careful there.

Like I said before "We invented AG removal and AG polishing"

So yes we tried EVERYTHING we could think of until we got it right. And sanding was tried YEARS ago. rolleyes.gif

And polishing with toothpaste is not as effective as polishing with Mothers Mag Polish or something similar to it.

I think enough has been said on this matter.

Thank you for clearing that up. Glad someone on this thread knows how to read and actually understand what he reads smile.gif

I never said using toothpaste doesn't work.

I used toothpaste 5-6 years ago to polish Cd's and Dvd's.

So it's not really a new concept. It's just not necessary. There are literally tons of polishing waxes at an Auto Parts Store that will do the job quicker and better. And like I've been saying Mothers Mag Polish has been determined to do the job perfectly and quickly.

If all that you have available is toothpaste then by all means try it, but there are better ways of polishing the AG.

Dear Sir,

The polish youre reffring to is not avalble here..Please advice hence tooth paste is far more cheaper then the polish you recomend any way i would like to put it to the test pls tell me a place to buy this stuff (mothers mag)

Very good! There is a resounding theme though that it can be used to clean things and smooth out scratches. I also wouldn't recomend anyone try it to treat achne, it can be quite caustic and burn the skin.

Surprisingly they didn't mention you can one of the uses being to clean your teeth blink.gif

Why don't you go back and re-read the entire thread slowly.

No-one was putting him down.

I first mentioned that people would need more information like what kind of paste and then I just made a joke about whites.

Then he came back saying we didn't know what we were doing and we were sanding AG and his way was better.

Then I informed him that we had a better way of doing it and he was wrong about how we do it and LumenLab members were the ones who came up with Polishing and Removing AG.

And toothpaste is not the best way or even an effective way for most people if they use the wrong type or even a hard toothbrush which could scratch the AG.

Remember it's a FORUM. Don't get mad if you have an idea and it's not the best way and someone mentions it. wink.gif
