anyway my question is about LCD placement, which direction do i place the lcd?

do i turn it up side down or right side up? does the side that we would normally be looking at(if it was a monitor) face the triplet or facce the bulb? sorry i am a little confused

also i just wanted to clarify... the Antiglare is the dark layer of film that you can see on the front of the monitor... right?

In a straight configuration ... upside down .... and the LCD faces the light bulb ....

ok i was half right... i was right side up(ooops) facing the bulb, but as i am drunk it was very hard to decide what i had done wrong...

and as for the antiglare... it is just the dark layer on the front right?

this usually helps me:

the circuit board at the bottom of the lcd will lay on the very bottom of the projector case, and Imagine if you were watching the lcd as if it were still a separate monitor, whatever side was facing you before you stripped will face the back of the projector. so yes, the antiglare will face the bulb. and if your lcd has an ffc issue, the second board on the side of the lcd will be against the right side of the projector case assuming you are looking at it from the back side of the case.

hope this helps smile.gif

Whenever one is trying to determine orientation of LCD whether using a mirror or not its advised to not drink! Heck its advised never to drink when working on a projector......... small things (cut wrong dimensions) med things (torn FFC) big things (cut off fingers)

GOOD LUCK!

Here's Wikipedia's page on LCDs. The dark layers are usually the polarizers. There may be a dull-looking layer of anti-glare on top of the front polarizer.
