Soon I'll be moving up from my Evo 1.2 to an HD projector most likely(720p). Benq W500 is really tempting me because I figure picture will be on par with the Evo, more pixels and better brightness with relatively cheap bulbs, without having to worry I might have a random guest bothered by Rainbow effect from a DLP. Still I have a question, my Evo did not have any dead pixels, so given the QC problems with them I'm leaning towards that most LCD projectors shouldn't have a large problem with this. Still figured I'd ask you guys, have you had problems with LCD with dead, or worse stuck on a color, pixels in the past?

nope, nothing like that for me, i have however had problems with the first 22" LCD i bought having sseveral dead pixels, Acer assures me this is an issolated event.

I have "Epson PowerLite 77c" A 3 LCD projector, I will say a few things about it

Its has perfect picture quality, no dim areas around the edges, its light, its small,
it looks good, its easy to use, its easy to setup, its quiet, it does put out some heat
but no ware near the amount of any others I have had, I think my old Xbox puts
out more heat

Its bright, when I say bright, I mean bright, it looks to me to like its brighter than
my 6 month old Dell LCD monitor, and brighter than a new 47in Philips HDTV
- all on default settings, and the Epson Projector on "Low Brightness" at a 75in screen

4000 hour lamp at @ $150 to $175 - lamp is V13H010L41 if you want to Google it

JUST WOW biggrin.gif

As far as stuck pixels, I had 1 EzPro 550 that did, had 2 others that were fine,
all 3 were 10 years old, and well used before I got them, my first EVO did
also, they all seam to be at the edges

My dad has a new wide screen view sonic LCD with a stuck pixel thats red at the bottom

Later on I want to do a review of the Epson PowerLite 77c, still waiting for dishnetwork to install
HD so I can test the projector with it - analog looks great, but I want HD

I found the Epson PowerLite 77c after someone here posted about it
