The title says it all. It's paranoid and it's out there, and i didn't belive anything like this until i saw a show called wonderscouzen or whatever its called on mtv and now i cant shake the thought. I have so much useless unproven info on this topic, and im thinking about it. I want to put it to rest. since new technology and paranoia over new technology go hand in hand. hopefully some of you diy thinkers can creep me out. time for the truth about controlled society, the "american dream", and corporations. and other creepy things that might lead you to beleive in it. huh.gif huh.gif ohnoes.gif

Are you questioning if a TV program you saw on MTV is real ?? laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif My opinion: Sleep better tonight and don't worry about things you hear on MTV concerning the CIA... just my 2 cents wink.gif

Why can't MTV just stick to things like Music Television ? ... I guess that was a novel idea back in the 80's... blink.gif huh.gif laugh.gif

edit. yes, we are watching you.
hoagtech
The funny thing is. it was a show with muppets, and it was so out there i think it got banned, and it wasn;t tv funhouse iether. but any way i dont want to sleep right now. i want peoples paranoid thoughts sorry dad-types, this isn't your forum, go back to your toolshed. this is for the city-infused open minded individuals who believe that something is f-upped and doesnt mind talking about it. (mtv does suck: i saw this on dvd recently and it said mtv on the back)
actually. im watching you. scary huh? [/quote]

No, their only watching you! laugh.gif

But nothing would surprise me.

Waterboarding by Americans never happen in a million years. wink.gif
hoagtech
come on. someone hear has to know what im talking it's current events. Ever since bush proposed to randomly monitor phone calls as part of the terrorist act. doesn't anyone ask themselves what information is given every time you swipe your credit card? If you can see the how short your grass is on google earth, what can they see? in a world full of protective measures against terrorism, it seems all to easy to track someone via sattelite and infared. and thats only the start. but thats not the topic. for years people have been chasing "the white picket fence- american dream" and it seems to be why we live sometimes. but where does this very common vision come from? if we're all thinking the same thoughts, why?

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) is a civilian intelligence agency of the United States government. Its primary function is collecting and analyzing information about foreign governments, corporations, and persons in order to advise public policymakers.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CIA

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is the primary investigative arm of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ), serving as both a federal criminal investigative body and a domestic intelligence agency. At present, the FBI has investigative jurisdiction over violations of more than 200 categories of federal crimes, making the FBI the de-facto lead law enforcement agency of the United States government. The motto of the bureau is "Fidelity, Bravery, Integrity".
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Bureau_of_Investigation

The National Security Agency/Central Security Service (NSA/CSS) is a cryptologic intelligence agency of the United States government, administered under the U.S. Department of Defense. Created on November 4, 1952, it is responsible for the collection and analysis of foreign communications and foreign signals intelligence, which involves a significant amount of cryptanalysis. It is also responsible for protecting U.S. government communications and information systems from similar agencies elsewhere, which involves a significant amount of cryptography. The NSA has recently been directed to help monitor U.S. federal agency computer networks to protect them against attacks.

They will not be interested in you until they see some red flag words and phrases in your topic. You know words like bombs, president, anti USA slogans, iraq, iran, benladin. But then that is only for home land secuirity. Now if you want some real red flag stuff at home just start mentioning militia. unabomber or sexual religious freedom.

But once they see stuff like that then you have something to set your paranoia ticker ticking. LOL

city-infused open minded

Just posting that one remark tells me your not open minded. now I live in the country because having lived in: Chicago, downtown Honolulu and 2 Japanese's cities I realized the environment wasn't where I wanted to be.

Being form the city doesn't make you any cooler, more open minded or any other such rubbish -it makes you form a city - thats it.

I live in the country, listen to country music, turn wrench and drive big trucks with huge tires when I so choose. I also am a meteorologist and an oceanographer, seen more of this planet then most people ever will, and I know nothing about anything that I never did or was never there.

Upon processing out, we where warned that we will be contacted later in life to see if we would let slip stuff we didn't know about places were never at, and equipment we never saw that doesn't exist.

skip 4 years later - over a chat program, _nothing_ on said chat program or anywhere in any profile on the internet said I know this about that because my job was such. All it said and ever says is what I just said. Prior Navy weather guesser.

So this "high school" kid chats me up doing a project on.... stuff ..... and asks me very specific technical questions about fantastic equipment we never saw that doesn't exist.

I red flag him - contact the CO of my last duty station who contact someone who get a hold of me.

They blow it off as a school kid doing a paper as I had reported the entire incident
and thats that.

I figure I'll send a chat to said "kid" and ask him how his report was comming along and this user number doesnt exsist. No record of user etc.

This story is true 100%

I agree its not where you are, its where your going. How and IF you get there is up to you. Technology is a fact of life, THEY have always and will always keep tabs on the population - it used to be the pinkertins, now its the sosdd.

Go read 1984, watch Brazil, and realize they ARE watching - its your TV it evil so grab a tinfoil hat and underwear and destroy any windmills you can find.
hoagtech
haha that movie rocks. its what got me thinking about sattelites in the first place
and brainchild.. it sucks to be watched. not that im worried there watching now, cus i didn't do anything. but if i felt like i had to. i feel like id be stopped before i even started because of the technologies that are at "their" disposal. and really you only have to be worried if your a terrorist or a criminal. but preperations have been made for the last 40 years started by the cia to control our evryday thoughts. i just ask myself what runs a country: money, and who has money:coorporations, and who regulates these coorporations that make more than our government: disney(mcdonalds): united emirates, and what is there tool for doing this: fear through television. so if you feel like trying to change the world from consumerism to free thought, love your neighbor type setting. you couldn't because part of our society tells us not to talk to each other, because the power of a mind is great thing, and it "there" job to make sure we dont utilize it. because if we do, we'll realize money isn't happiness and therefore not be reliant on handing large coorporations our money, taking away there power (money)

and ya it was wondershowzen, that stupid comment could never leave my head. (kksszzch NO WERE NOT)

Well "rumor" has it that "Big Bother" has the ability to remotely turn on your cell phones microphone and/or picture camera. This way they may listen in or even watch what your doing, EVEN IF your phone is switched off.

"They" say that the only way to ensure true privacy is to remove you battery from your cell phone all together to keep this from happening.

"They" also say that the government is trying to force cell phone manufacturers to incorporate a small, non-removable battery inside the phone to keep users from "disconnecting" the phone from big brother when main battery is removed.

They are watching you!
hoagtech
I used to think aboutu cell phone tracking. you turn on the latest phones and they can show you a dot on your exact geographic coordinates. and a nice big dot that moves with you while you walk down the street. Thats just the start. I have a windows mobile phone and when you connect it to your computer they give you the option to update your sodtware with 'windows live." you probably have used in on your desktop before. its similar to google earth but downloads sattelite images that get a lot closer then g'earth. and with gps you can even see your self through it. just think of what the wrong hands can do if their the ones who control it. and thats just cell phones which i think pale in comparison to rel technologies that we have had for last 60 years. you modify a sattelite with x ray you see through walls you modify with infared, you see human life though heat. not to mention voice recognition software has been around for so long that macintosh even included with a lot of there late eighties model desktops. If they want theres not a place on Gods green earth where they couldnt reach us if they had too. No worries for me, but it stressful thinking thats theres no such thing as "total privacy" anymore.

Jeese I wish I could live in a place like that - oh right.. WE DO.

Vermont is not like Newhearts Larry Darrel and Darrel. Its the only show that I really loath. Many a person has ended up on the wrong side of me for LDD references. Your assumption that anyone who isnt from a city is back asswards is quite sad.

I'm not offended and I apologizes if it came across that way, it did ruffle my feather a bit but it was brief. Also the straw bedding is only for our mother in-laws, as we keep in the barn.

No way IN & SJ ! we got............ some........ kurt kobain.......ummmmmmmmmm....the space needle?...and...ummmm.........the hippies of olympia...and..... Damn! i got nothin. sad.gif drink.gif

But seriously dont think im bashing you IN. I just like to tease because i grew up in a similar environment, and i wasn't one of the "carhart clan."
The reason I stated this thread in the first place was because my life chaged drastically from comfortable to paranoid and lost because of all things that happend to my poor little country town. First, after 9/11 they hired thousands of border patrol agents that patrol my streets 24/7 and ive never seen more police in my life. theirs at least 5 patrol suvs to every st. and helicopters constantly flying overhead to make sure of "no threats". So no more Peace and quiet. THen they decided to put Really high tech camera towers with infared, and evry new and old technology you could think of right down the block from me (less than 200 ft away from my house, and it's pointed right at it.) And to top it off the indains decided to put a casino on my street. even though the nearest gas station is 2 miles away. So dont take your town for granted, it doesn't matter how many times you go to church or how great your town is. If they feel like it, they'll turn it into alcatraz. not to mention the value of the american dollar fell so fast that candians worth more now, which means there are thousands of canadians that do their shopping by crossing my border and packing themselves into wal marts and malls evryday (I dont blame them, cheaper is cheaper). I dare one of you to stare at one of those towers im talking about in the middle of a cornfeild and not think anything of it.

I seriously doubt that anything can be done with a phone that's off. If it's off, it's not receiving or broadcasting. If it were, then SOMEONE would have documented proof that it can be done. Besides, I don't think that the places that manufacture these things would spend the extra money to make them capable of such things.

If it's on... That's another matter altogether.

I've seen the google phone tracker. It's not that accurate, since it has to guess where you are from what cell tower you connect to. Again, the technology to track individual cell phones would be a hard conspiracy to cover, given how many different people have to maintain the equipment. It's be quite the corps of "men in black" to do all that and keep it all working and hidden. It begins to get very unlikely.

Occam's razor is enough for me as far as my privacy is concerned. It would be way too complicated to monitor my every word, correlate it to what I do/say online just to monitor me.

I KNOW Im being watched cause every few years a few guys who look like refugees from the Matrix show up and review my life with me. They monitor a lot of facets of my life to ensure I cant be manipulated or corrupted into giving up special information.

Do they have the capability your talking about?

Well, lets just say they found things I had forgotten about and leave it at that.
