I have just gotten started now that I am home from college.

Got a ViewSonic VE155 of EBAY and disassembled it last night.

Have a slight FFC issue, but the LCD works and is in good shape.

That is all for now. More to come soon......

Great! Thanks for the help.

I put the polarizing filter from the back light against the LCD to protect it from scratches.

I counted 16 pins at .5 pitch. But I may have miscounted.

Definitely 16. I decided to use my camera as a magnifying glass for me. Much easier this way.

I still have to pick up:

Plexiglass (Lexan XL10)
HT Black Spray Paint
Some wiring necessities
Aluminum shielding

Projector works, but I think I killed the monitor.

The FFC connector isn't linked correctly and I get colored lines down the display.

I tried to put the old cable in it's connector and still no image.....

Congrats on getting it working!

Looks like you've got a nice, bright picture.

My projector worked for 3 days before I managed to break it....go figure.

The LCD displayed rainbow colored vertical lines all across the display and then it just went black and it won't come back.
