Why is that? Its "transmissive film technology" right?
The thing I see wrong in this ad first is the lack of input or resolution descriptions.
Is anyone gonna get one just for giggles?

transmissive technology describes any display that requires a backlight. in this case, tft is a thin film transitor.

it is an enhancement to the original lcd that improves color screens. an extra matrix (read: active matrix) of transistors is connected to the lcd panel; one transistor for each color (rgb) of each pixel. these transistors control the degree of twist of the liquid crystal elements, which effects the polarization (the amount of light coming through). this controls the intensity of the red, green, and blue elements for each pixel that make up the image on the display.

essentially, these transistors drive the pixels, effectively eliminating the problems of ghosting and slow response speed that afflict non-tft lcds. the results are better response times, contrast ratios, and brightness values.
