Does anyone have a problem with their projectors producing an excess of static electricity? When mine is up and running I get a shock off the laptop and audio system. I haven't tried touching anything else metal not attached to the projector yet. The ballast is fully grounded, but the VGA cable from the LCD is not, as I don't yet have anything to ground it to. I'm going to ground everything properly when it gets it's final build, but I was just curious as to whether this is going to be a problem, or whether it will disappear when everything is properly grounded. I'd hate to blow up my wife's laptop.

I would hazard a guess that this will go away once you have everything properly grounded.

Thanks guys. I still have to properly wire the system with switches and fuses etc. When I do I'll be sure to properly ground everything, and I'll report back.
