okay, I got a synaps 15.4 inch monitor, stripped it and found that there is no second circuit board. on the side where the second one should be there is what i can only describe as tabs, three smaller circuit boards that don't seem to connect to anything. Was wondering if anyone else had encountered this problem and had a solution. thx
Ill see if I can get a few pictures of it.

Do you mean like the FFCs on the far right side of the panel pictured here:

Picture from
Gecko Studios 10.6" Projector.
If that's the case then it's pretty normal for some LCDs (my 12.1 didn't have them). You just need to make sure that they are not damaged while assembling your projector. You can coat them with
Silicone II (or possibly
hot glue or clear packing tape) to protect them.

I would be uncomfortable with putting hot glue over them. Silicone or packing tape should work well though.

Noted and struck-through.
So putting clear packing tape over the FFCs connecting the PCB to the bottom of the LCD should be fine, as well, 'eh? Would there be any problem with the packing tape attaching (sticking) to the PCB and LCD glass?
I've been wanting to do something to "stiffen" those FFCs on the bottom of my 12.1 panel but didn't want to bother with Silicone.

I used hot glue and had no issues, I never even considered that it could melt them

but I personally didnt have any problems besides little strings of glue in random places

Hot glue won't be near hot enough, unless you're using a really unreasonable heat gun, but make sure that the LCD glass is warm when you do it. Thermal stress is a bad thing.

thanks everyone. This means that those weren't the reason my lcd wasn't displaying a picture properly (at all) ?
