hi all. i've been researching the best way to hook up my Wii to my projector setup but didn't really find too much info on the subject. I've tried connecting the Wii through my DVD player (which is connected to the projection panel through component video). This produced sound but no video, which leads me to believe that the DVD player for some reason doesn't want to send the image through component. Maybe i just hooked it up wrong, i dont know. If at all possible, i'd like a way to use just the DVD player, panel, stereo, and OHP to make this happen, but if running it through a computer is the only way then so be it.
OHP: dukane starfire6000
panel: nview z215
dvd player: samsung v1000
blake
Using a VGA transcoder with the Wii component cables is the best way to go.

I don't understand why you'd connect he Wii to the DVD player, and not to the LCD itself.

It will depend on what the LCD has for inputs, of course, but if the LCD is accepting component input from the DVD player then it must have a functioning component input. If that's the case, then I'd use an A/B switch between the DVD player and the Wii. You won't be watching both at the same time anyway.
