Afriend gave me an old pc ,, 2 gig dell desktop has a quadro 4 video card , fan is not working and it does get hot , I am wondering if I need to install specific drivers for this card to get fan to work or is it just fried . It does work but not fan and it was new install xp pro ,, i had no drivers for any hardware .. just wondering , will be setting this up for pj and picked up a hauppauge tv tuner card but no remote.. I basically want to use that instead of kworld to see if better quality but the no remote has me worried but as long as on screen osd will be o.k. . Thanks.

Loaded the drivers for nvidea card and works no problem ,, loaded the hauppage drivers ,not impressed with it,, no delay but you can see lines in it when swithches scenes ,this was just with crt monitor so far ,, just closing case up with a new dvd rom in it and will be good to go , and i will try out video source on card once hooked up to pj..

I was reading away and out of the corner of my eye I really thought there was a bug on my screen. CRAZY

It does get you doesn't it.. I actually had one in my phone lcd one time .. i hear they are quite commone to get in them , I think they are thripes or something of that nature..

Set up that pc with pj ,last night , I am not impressed with using a pc ,, hauppauge card worked better in the pj than an crt mon. I was testing on . I think I will keep using the kworld tuner box it seems an easier setup and everyone can run it .Eventually I will be looking for new lcd and new build (verical this time),.So this setup will stay as is without pc for now.I think I will put that pc in garage , I cleaned it out today and I think it needs one ..
