By that i mean:
1 My fresnel is too small for my lcd
2 Its not all actually together (balanced and taped together just to look at how it might go)
3 The whole thing is gonna be WAY to big to mount properly (keystone) so im considering it a first draft that I'll end up
totally scrapping ne-way.

what I got is a 15" NEC LCD and a 3M 1810 Overhead Projector. tongue.gif not great

So, since the fresnel is not big enough I figured id try one o those junky cardboard box jobs to start.
now that i spent $100 on an OHP Im determined to get something that actually functions (fullscreen) so I can see both the start button and the minimize/maximize window buttons.

from what I understand all I gotta do is (essentially) upend the OHP, put the lcd an inch and a half away from the fresnel and then detach the second lens and put it so it focuses and is farther away than is originally possible. errr basically. right?

or if I backlight the entirety of the lcd instead of just the middle and focus with the one (top) lens of the OHP itll give me a pic..?
only at one distance/size..

Now that you understand HOW I probably dont get it. please to correct me, and break it down barney style.

can you project an image with one lens? itll be inside out right? so a mirror is required. also you get one specific size:distance and the greater the distance the brightness reduces upon refocusing .?.?.?

How would you do it with only two lenses. I know I gotta build a box at least but I also like to use mockups just to know for sure or whatever. should i just breakdown and get a triplet like everyone else? I kiinda ran outta dough.

I just realised that Im talking bout two different kinds of setups with no mention of the difference. sorry I cant make sense.
BTW i dunno how to make a signature yet as im totally new to forums but itll say something about ADD when I figure it out.
