Hey Tiddler -
The work your doing is awesome and truly benefits the LL community. I've read through your posts and find one flaw - I'm a dolt. I cant seem to wrap my head around it. I get it - but its a bit of an over load..
so let me ask you this question:
Assuming little to zero ambient light, using the mega kit lighting ( 400w bulb etc) which paint would you recommend. I don't mind a mixture.
Sorry to be so simplistic, I'll catch up eventually and educate my self on all this however that may take a while
Thanks
The concerns over using an exterior paint inside, I would use the Behr Exterior ULTRA UPW #4850. This is not really a flat paint. it has a low luster sheen to it. There is a satin version of the ULTRA that is #9850 which I would be tempted to try if the projector is not terribly bright. If the projector turned out to be a bit too bright for that then I would try mixing it down with the 4850 Flat. Or you could come at it from the other way. Start with the 4850 and if you crave more brightness try mixing the 4850 Flat 1:1 with the 9850 Satin.
Diypjperson was going to try the satin but just went with the 4850 flat in the end. try sending him a PM and get some feedback from him.
If however you are concerned about using an exterior paint indoors then I would suggest trying the Behr UPW Flat Enamel #1850.
With no ambient light you should stick to a white screen.
