hi I'm new been reading for a while but never needed to post

cool website !

Sorry if this is off topic or in the wrong place

OK I'm currently working on a collaborative project to pimp a slide projector for increased brightness, throw distance, and image size

what bulb/s would you guys go with?
(i am familiar with some electronics so thats not such a big deal)

clearly it needs to be brighter than a normal slide projector bulb but be as cool as possible so as to not melt the slides

we will be using cooling fans

i look forward to your input

thanks

No not really. Most likely it's just a subject not many have much experience with.

Some are using xenon car headlight lamps with good success for small screens.

Maybe experiment with that ?

I think the

"pimp a slide projector for increased brightness, throw distance, and image size"

is a little broad of a question.

After you change the lamp, ballast, triplet fresnels or condenser lens it won't be the same PJ any more.

And to be able to "Pimp" it out someone would have to be willing to do something to the PJ that I don't want to take about. biggrin.gif
