I've bought 2 of these from Ebay now. They both had the power button fail and fall into the casing. Its an easy fix.$500 + monitors for less than $100.

I had to upgrade my old video card to accept DVI via AGP,but what a difference!A subwoofer added on is great. These baby's are BIG,but worth it. I think HP unloaded the defective ones to various wholesalers on Ebay.I like saving $$$$ and its worth it,with a little fixing.

ON EDIT:I have yet another one coming on 3/04/08.I'll post some before & after pictures of the simple repair next week.

Go here to replace your CCFL & EL inverter boards,on defective LCD monitors. They are Top Quality and exact. My last(3rd) HP F2105 monitor fix required a board replacement.Grrrrrrrrrr dry.gif .But still,at $60.00 and a easy power button repair,I was happy & amazed. The HP F2105 takes the 6 CCFL board.

This 3rd one was more involved than just a power button. It kept shutting down after 3 or 4 minutes. The backlight would flicker right before going black.I could manually adjust it through the menu, but the brightness and contrast had to be at 100% to keep it displaying properly. But I still only got
about 10 minutes before the black screen again.
I found this:

HP F2105 inverter

Its working great now,but it cost me $100.00 and a half hour to install. dry.gif

Still cheaper than $500.00 for a new one.
