first time posting on the forums so before i say anything i'd like to say a big hi
here is my question, is it possible to manipulate (by using the video signal) the position of the image and also the size? by this i mean being able to control the v/h-pos and v/h-size via a small homemade adaptor. This idea came to me because of the very high prices video walls are being sold. i don't need a fancy thing actually as i want to use legacy television sets (the ones that are not hdtv but the normal one)
my idea was to take my xbox system's component line and seperate the v-sync and h-sync via an LM chip then have these sync fed to another chip that will let me controle the advance/lag frequency rate of the signals, since i think that by advancing or retarding the clock rate the picture will move left-right or up-down. also by regulating the clock frequency i can control the size (don't hit me please as i don't know how it really works, this is just an asomption i made from looking into how video frequencies work).
is this possible? to make a small adaptor that lets us modify it with small pots? i know these things are available in TV mobos but i was wonderring how to do it externaly. thank you all
