Anyone know anything about the Concave 3D projection LLAMB has on the front page of the website ?

I second that motion! Like any drivers for nvidia cards to project a spherically adjusted rendering?

Hmmm. this intrigues me

I wonder if there are any drivers to project an image into a corner? But then again... I geuss I really don't know how to set a pj up correctly to that in the first place anyway.

Yes, it is possible. A colleague of mine (and fellow Ashevillian) does this exclusively:

My Nvidia card can correct for keystone and IIRC it can distort the image in all sorts of odd 3 dimensional shapes. Maybe it would be useful?

Yes it is possible, even in ffdshow you can morph the image as you like but the bigger problem is optics.
as far as I know you cant get even focus with regular projector when projecting on a sphrerical surface since the light coming from the center of the lens and light from the edges travel the same distance, but when you project on a flat furface light from the edges of the lens travel longer.
this means when a regular projector that projects on a flat surface and gets full focus wii only achive focus on the center on a spherical screen...

I posted a similar question in the screens forum. I do a lot of racing on the pc with rFactor. I'm thinking of trying to build a wrap around screen and am seeking ideas of materials to use to make the screen. FREX (http://www.frex.com/gp/) has a wrap around canopy screen that is insanely expensive as are all their products. I was thinking that there must be some sort of cheaper alternative. Maybe a translucent lexan or plexiglas sheet. Perhaps some sort of plastic that can be vacuum formed. Anyone have any ideas?

I found this online. Interesting idea.
http://thinkoutofbox.com/index.htmlI would like to see this setup in person, especially with an auto racing sim.
