after months and months of research im building my first pj... ive learned alot of stuff along the way.

the one thing im curios about is the fresnel lens, i know it focuses on a point source of light (arc) and the lights has to enter it at a certain angle for it to b colminated (correct me if im wrong) so the rest of the light bouncing around in there is useless...

has anyone found any other lens to use to straighten all the light into the panel?

i know people are doin led boards but is there anything else out there? even if its to expensive for us at the moment.... just curious whats goin on out there as far as ideas about lighting our lcd's as far as lenses go, not leds or cold cathodes etc etc

this is pretty cool to, i know light gates and boxes have been done, but this elliptical sphere type mirror ball incases the light source and bounches back around to come in line with the rectangle opening ( so it reads) a design like this big enough for us to use might b cool to, oh yea sorry bout the brainstorming, im a newb and all into this addiction
