Does anyone has experience whit a lamp from the EYE Lighting?
The product code is 57875 http://www.eyelighting.com/cleanarc.html

It has several characteristics that matches the ones from the LL65KT15 lamp, except for the lifespan that is 12000 Hrs.

Does this lamp can be used in the DIY projector?

please sorry my grammar and spelling errors, english is not my native languaje.

Thanks in advance.

I have that bulb in my projector with no problems. (400W "T15")

Can anyone decipher that burn position diagram though? I've got the lamp mounted horizontally with the little nub that sticks out of the inner envelope pointing up. Is that correct? I've only got about 10 hours on the bulb so far. I don't want to kill the bulb from mounting it improperly.

According to the chart the 400W T15 bulb is either a base up or base down bulb. that means vertical. Although if you're burning it horizontal and it's working then you may not have to worry. It may decrease output or lifetime, though, or it may flicker or fluctuate somewhat.

The nipple on the arc doesn't matter when it comes to burn position. You will want to make sure the nipple is out of the light path, though, in case it affects the image quality.

Hmm... I need to double check my bulb then. I bought it last year, but I thought I got a horizontal bulb. I may have the T17 instead of the T15. Thanks for the info on the nipple vs burn position, phutton. I always wondered if it mattered.

Would it be possible for one of these bulbs, intended for DIY, on a commercial projector?

i would really doubt it. the heat that some of those bulbs put out would probably fry the inards of most commercial projectors.
