Not sure if this is the right section of the forums but I was recently given a commercial projector, it's a NEC Multisync 810.

There are about 500 hours left on the lamp but when you try and watch anything on it, it has red lines in certain areas (basically as if the people or objects have shadows but interlaced shadows)... it also seems to happen in green to some extent but it is far more prominent with red lines.

I'm just wondering if it's worth trying to fix this or am I better off just putting on eBay? I still plan to finish my DIY anyway but seeing as I got this free I figured if it's an easy enough fix then why not have it as a more portable model

So any tips for what I might be able to do to fix it? Or is it on it's way out?
