Lumenlab > Audio Video Sciences > Advanced Projector Builder > Projectors based on small panels

I have been watching these 10" builds and from what iam seeing I think the 15" and 17" LCD projectors look better.
Is it just me or are they just as good?
I have built a 15" and a 17" and they both turned out great but these small screens have peeked my interest.
what do you guys think when you compair them to your bigger projectors?

Also how is the response time on these are you getting ghosting at all?

also are you getting the screen door affect more with these because some of these seem to have that problem when I look at the pictures.

Any input you guys could give would be great.
thanks

Hey what happened to the 10.6 at manhattan LCD?!?!
I wanted that one.
anyway I think it was a 1280x1024 (720) vs. the 15s being 1920x1200(1080).. I think now that I have no reference.
if thats what yer talkin bout, willis. I mean footlove??? sweet!

Never mind its there but its a 1280x768 (720) different aspect rat.

the differences are
1) resolution, the 10.6 is 720p and the 15.4 is 1080p, and
2) brightness, theres more surface area to move more light through the 15.4. That's not to say you can't get a ridiculous amount of light through a 10.6 (just search 10.6+575w) but a larger panel will always capture more light.

That said, the advantages of the 10.6 far outweigh the dissadvantages for me.
1) it's 6" deep. that means my box, hanging on a wall, will look like a small cabinet, not an enormous dog coffin.
2) it's cheaper, both the panel and the controller.
3 kinda) I don't have any sources over 720p anyway

I think he was referring to the 12.1 panel that johnzo now sells. The 12.1 panel is 720p.
The 10.6 panel was no longer being manufactured and johnzo ran out of stock.
