I'm investigating various 150 watt lamp solutions. I saw the 150 watt lamp that LL is selling and would like to know more about the specs. But I can't find them anywhere. Can anyone help.
Is it being overdriven in the evo to 200 watts (I think I read this in the evo thread). Does the 6000 hours include the time while overdriven or would that be for 150 watt operation. what are the current specs:
length
diameter
lcd
arclength
Output
cri
colortemp
What type of base
For those who have used this lamp and others such as the 150 Osram or Philips or Ushio HQIs with high cri, what are your opinions
Thanks

You should be able to find what you need here:
http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23531The eVo bulb should have the same dimensions as the other G12 base bulbs.

Thanks, but I still can't find the specs. I'm aware of other 150 watters and before biting on either an Osram Powerball or Philips I wanted to investigate the LL bulb.
The measured output of the evo of 120 lumens is just about what should be expected with this type of lighting setup and single panel and small bulb. I find that no problem since my family has been happy with about 100 lumens from my first 400 watter DIY. Figured if I could get similar, but with a small bulb then all the better. Maybe even get slightly more with an overdriven bulb.
I would think LL would be all too happy to put the specs up so customers coud purchase it for DIY.

Well... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for LL to put up the specs - it's taking them forever just to get the wiki back online. And let's not forget their total lack of support concerning the eVo 1.0's LCD controller board replacement.
It seems they are putting all their effort into the new Q.
You might want to ask this question in the eVo forum. See if somebody there can take a picture of the bulb, providing there is any printing on it.

Well, if I don't get any info on it I'll just rule it out, outright. Shame, though. I woulda preferred giving LL my business instead of someone else. But buying blind would be just foolish.
