Seems like there is very little user info on the LL 108" screens. Anybody have one? Are there any pictures anywhere?

My older brother bought one for his commercial setup (I'm not about to tell him he could have saved $125 if he waited). Works well. Little heavy, but nice quality. The voltage mismatch is a bit inconvenient but there's a recent thread on here somewhere about how to overcome that without a converter, I believe. My one beef is the remote. First off, its RF, not IR, so you can't program it into your universal. Second, I don't believe there's any manual way to control the screen, so if you lose the remote you SOOL.

EDIT: I don't know where my head is at, because these screens do have a hardwired up/down button, as depicted in waldo's thread (see below). My brother just ended up running his behind a wall and so he can't use it, but that's his mistake.

If I may chime in after reading sensi's comments . . . I buy cars with manual door locks and manual windows for the same reason as I bought a manual screen. Less there - less to go wrong - and maybe a better chance of repair. But it's a personal preference thing.

Oh, yeah, the Lumenlab screens are reputed to be a good value and on a par with other screens in a similar price bracket.

Thanks for the replies so far smile.gif

Anyone have pics of the screen extended & in action? How about a close-up of the screen material?
