I wanna have a go at this, I already got my LCD a 15" 1024x 728.
I didnt wanna go down the overhead projector road as I have limited space in my room.. and think this would look cool all painted up.
I was wondering if anyone can point me to a dummies guide to a desgin like this (if there is one) and also when it is all set up would it be possible to change the size of the screening using the lens. I have have 1 wall in my room that I could use, I will need to adjust the image, could I do this via the lcd linked to my laptop or through the lens or both?
Cheers,
Canny wait to get this going

The lenses we use aren't zoom lenses, so the only practical way to change the size of the projection once built is to move the projector closer or farther from the screen.
The "double-fold" (using two mirrors) design is extremely difficult to align properly and not recommended for beginners. In fact, I can't say that I've seen a double fold design taken all the way to completion. Remember, each element robs lumens (mirrors are at most 94% reflective) and dims your projection.
In other words, I'd start with a single fold if I were you.

I agree with sensibull a single fold would be the better choice. besides with the lower mirror you are going to have light all over the place because of its location. there are many successful single folded vertical designs here. My Pro-V and V-15 models, Pun15hers build, Joe2000chevys build, just to mention a few. you have a good start there but do some reading up on the plogs first then have at it! ask many questions thats why we are all here.

So u recommend the single fold desgin for me to start with ?
Are there some blueprint type things on the forum?

Yes, thats my Pro-V, I have plans for all my builds. just redoing the Pro-V plans this week. btw, this is version Pro-V.6 This one uses the Pro lens for a long throw of 120" diag @ 12 feet from the screen with a 17" panel in it. the 15" panel you have would throw a 100" diag image at the same distance. it also has keystone ability, real time bulb adjust, easy off front lower cover, and adjustable feet so you can pinpoint the image at any height and it has a focus slide.
