This is for a basic 15 inch projector, you can modify it to fit the 17 you will be using.
The information in it is what will help you build your projector. It has a parts list and a component layout as well as a wiring diagram.
Also ask questions, everyone on here so far has been down the same road and they all have a wealth of information to offer.

You need two fresnel and one projection triplet. I suggest buying a matched kit. I went with the Pro Triplet/Fresnel "split" design.

No.

You need a lamp , collector fresnel, lcd, field fresnel, and triplet.

You can add more but you can't use less.
