Alright, so I am kinda hoping some of you have some advice. I am building my projector so that the lamp side and lcd/frensel side are completely isolated by tempered glass. So what combinations of slots and fans should I consider, assuming I use 2 fans, and 2 slots. Also is placing the electronic ballast under the enclosure worth it?

I would do A-2 (and maybe add 1 if the fan moves enough air) and B-4 and 5 (why waste all of that space?)
Hope I understood your drawing correctly.

I'm wrestling with the same design issues. Having a bit of trouble deciphering your drawing - what are the lettered and numbered items indicating specifically?

The fans are lettered, ideally I think you would have the airflow going across the LCD on the lamp side, the problem with the vertical design is that the PCB is blocking that side, meaning if you insist on the flow being on that side it would have to flow around the PCB. I have a lot of wasted space in my box because I don't really care how big it is, and I designed it so that it can stand on the floor and be high enough where keystoning is not necessary.

AT,
I have an Evercool 100cfm centrifugal blower for my project.
My current thinking is to have it ventilate *both* the LCD and the light compartment. (fan in the "2" position and a gap under the tempered glass adjacent to that point). This would keep the ventilation slot for the LCD on the back.
I was also thinking of having a series of dust-filtered ventilation inlet holes drilled into the area behind the Norpro reflector (to minimize light spillage).
How did you plan to deal with light spillage through the front ventilation slots?

Louvers probably, I'm not really sure. Also I already ordered two fans, and already have my tempered glass, so what you are suggesting isn't really an option for me unfortunately.

That's what I figured you were doing, but I meant to say I would put the ballast in position 5 because you have plenty of space in your box so the ballast should be fine in there (you could put the air intake on the bottom on either side of the ballast or beneath it).
