Ok, so I have the new LL T15 400 watt bulb with the larger arch size - it's 6500k, 91 CRI and about 38,000~ lumens. I also have the Venture 400 watt bulb with a temp of 4200k, not sure on the CRI, but I believe the lumens are right around 38,000-40,000~. I am using the ikea napkin holder as a reflector.

What I'm wondering is which one would be brighter? I prefer the 6500k color temp, but if there is a big brightness difference due to arch size then I would rather use the Venture. Which would you guys say would give me a more evenly lit bright image? If one is brighter then the other, is there a big difference?

(Also, would the bulbs have the same placement as far as distance from the rear fresnel?)

Oh also, how far away does the Venture ED28 bulb need to be from the reflector (ikea)?

I have the Venture ED28 same color temp and I believe it is 65CRI.... the ikea napkin ring holder from what I remember sits right up against the bulb envelope.

Personally I would rather have the LL bulb or similar spec... mine is to warm for my tastes and I am sure the higher CRI also would make things much nicer as well as making it easier to work with better reflectors and pre-condensors. I have to wait to buy one though sad.gif Christmas is putting a large dent in my wallet right now.

Yeah, I do way prefer the specs of the LL bulb. I just need to know if the larger arch on it will make the picture less bright... Anyone? Sorry guys, suppose I should have searched a little better. Found the answer to my question. tongue.gif
