Well I finally got a breather on the house remod so I was able to get my cnc machine started. I chose to go with a steel build cause I wanted something a bit more robust (I plan on getting pretty harsh with this)

the base is 36" X 60" with a 4" clearance underneath the router carriage, this should make it pretty sturdy by not have alot of travel.

Dang man.. what exactly are you planning on machining with this? What cnc package did you go with?

I used the hobbycnc 200 oz package for the drives, I plan on mostly woodworking with it but I figured if I want to try some soft metal cutting I might have to run coolant and you know coolant and a wooden frame don't mix! ;-)
