Hi,

I have the T15 bulb installed in my projector and it has worked very well. But, for the last few weeks it seemed to take longer for it to light up than normal. You can hear the ballast click trying to turn it on, but it never lights until after 3 or 4 clicks. Is this normal? Is there something that I can change so that it will strike every time?

Thanks for the response!

Sam

I read the other lighting problems in the forum, but I don't think that I have the same issues; however, it is possible...

I have the predecessor of this eballast - LL/Vue 400w eBallast. It is the black one that was sold as a kit. I hope there aren't issues with this ballast as I would hate to fork over another $150.00 just to get this delayed lighting issue resolved...

I can tell you I have the same ballast, and with the original t15 bulb it would take 3 or 4 strikes to get it started for like a couple of days straight(i use my projector everyday) and then it would fix itself, then repeat. Mine always worked tho. I now have the 6500k t15 and it almost always strikes on the first attempt. So... I wouldnt worry about it so much biggrin.gif

edit: I was assuming you have checked the wiring and the tab in the mogul base... if not... THE TAB MAN THE TAB laugh.gif

Thanks. "The tab" Are you suggesting that the tab in the base isn't contacting the lense completely? I'll check tonight.

Yeah, the piece of metal that is bent up to contact the bottom of your bulb... sometimes that bends away from the base and you have a gab. It will be evident by carbon on both the metal and your bulb contact point.
