Hello All,
I have been lurking here for a long time and have a successful PJ build under my belt thanks to all the experts on this great forum. My problem is this: When viewing Hi Def programming through my Comcast Hi Def box I am only able to use 480p. When a higher resolution is selected on the box the picture is awesome but cuts off the right side edge of the picture. I am using component cables from cable box to monitor in the projector. My monitor is a 15" magnavox HD ready LCD TV with 1024x768 resolution and compatibility for 1080i, 720p, and 480p. Any suggestions on how I would get a true 720p picture without losing the sides of the image? Any help would be highly appreciated. I would also like to get a PS3 soon but want to be able to maximize its potential. Once again thanks for any help.

your monitor cannot do native 720p... and for some reason it is not scaling it properly. 720p is 1280x720, so you would need a different panel for native 720, or just figure out your scaling issue and see if you like it scaled, it might not look that bad.
