I blown up my Lcd power supply, does anyone know an other way to make the LCD work again?

Thanks

What type of power supply? "Wall wart"? Inverter/PS combo hooked to your controller? If you have the specs for the controller you can get an appropriate supply separately. Pictures and model #'s should always be included with requests such as this. wink.gif

it is the inverter fron the lcd monitor, from a BENQ FP51G

Sorry, I can't answer definitively. But assuming you're using this for a DIY projector and consequently do not need the inverter you may very well be able to power the board separately. Does the inverter hook up to the controller board distinctly and separately or are they linked together in a complex fashion? Best best is to find someone else with the same monitor and see if they have more intimate knowledge they can share with you. Be aware power supply failure may have damaged the controller with surges as well. Maybe. Do you know how/why it failed?

the brown part is which i damage, a metalic obgect fell into the brown board and sparks came out fro a resistor which i blown up, i changed it but for sure it wasnt only that the damage. So its possible to power up the lcd controler? there are 7 cables going from the inverter to the controler, what they coulb be?

thanks for your time

Well, there could be - I guess - a ground or two, a couple or three different voltage lines, and maybe a logic line for dimming? Like I said - your best bet now is to find someone with the same or a very similar board who has more intimate knowledge of the circuitry and they should be able to answer the question as to whether you can power the controller separately. As to whether you damaged the controller or not who knows???
