I know some people on here are addicted to lenses lol
I came across a RPTV that someone dumped at our transmitter site and happened to look in it and see the lenses for the CRTs were still in tact. I am going to measure them in a minute but I'd say they are about 3-4" in diameter (actual lens not the assembly)
I assume they act like big triplets, but not sure of any info such as focal length or etc. I'll measure them in a minute here and see, then take pics of them and post here to see if anyone would like one.
But in the mean time any possible uses in our projectors?

I'm pretty sure they're very short throw lenses but some here may be interested in playing around.

the only lens that seems to be worthwhile is the middle one. The outer two are plastic.
The middel lens is what I assume to be Biconvex it is 3 3/16" in diameter and 3/4 inches thick in the middle with a 3/32 lip around the outer edge.
I had an overhead flourecent lamp in the shop and measured fomr the lamp down to the workbench and was able to fous the light above on the workbench surface at 33 1/4"
So... anyone want one, or know of a use for these?

I have similiar lens from my RPTV.
It seems my center lens was bigger & the bottom was flat as opposed to concave like the other two.
I'm working on using flourecents for my projector & thought using one of these lens to focus the light onto the the LCD.
Not sure if that will cause problems or not.
