Does anyone know of one? or atleast 1080i? next year i may upgrade from my evo if i can find a good deal

You could build one from a wuxga LCD for under $1000. wink.gif

FYI, todays projectors are based on either one of two technologies, LCD or DLP. Both of these are progressive ('p') style display types, only CRT's use interlacing ('i') for displaying an image. Almost all new HDTV's & Projectors today will handle a 1080p input in addition to the standard 1080i, 720p, 480p and 480i.

There are several 720P (1280 x 720) commercial projectors out there that will easily handle 1080i and possible 1080P. And if you look around you can find them for under $1000.00 Sony has a model that is 720P and just about $1000.00. You might even find a sanyo vlp-z5 (an excellent projector with advanced features like lens shift and decent contrast ratios) for around $1000.00 and the Sanyo will have a 3 year warranty - the longest in the industry.

You can definitely find a decent XGA resolution commercial DPL projector for UNDER $1000.00 that will handle both 720P hd and 1080i HD (though not as native resolution).

The cheapest you will find a commercial 1080p for is $2000-$3000
