The gain clone chip amps require a power supply with a center tapped transformer (+,0,-). Could you use a pair of regulated power supplies like in this diagram? This might be cheaper/easier than building a power supply.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can but you need to make sure that both PS are the SAME... I'll try to see my books about it

Yes as long as they are the same. I doubt that this would be cheaper though unless you already have the parts.

You MUST ensure that your regulated power supplies do not use ground as the negative terminal. Many power supplies do this, so you have to ensure that this is so.

To check, connect both power supplies, and check if there is voltage potential from the positive lead of one supply to the negative lead of the other supply.

Also, ensure that your supplies have adequate amperage supply for the gainclone's needs.

The voltage can have some variation to it, gainclones are reasonably tolerant of voltage differentials, unlike certain other designs. Still, it's best if they are the same.

A better bet might be to use a 48V regulated supply and use a voltage divider network.
