I was recently given an Insprion 5100 laptop. It has a dead hard drive controller. I know if I use this screen I will need a controller for it. Is it possible to salvage the controller from the laptop and use it?

If you find a way to salvage the controller from the laptop let us all know how you did it. No one has been able to do it to date.
