frig, somethings up with the LCD, theres a diagonal line going across it. I can feel it on the screen if i run my finger over it but its not a scratch, its like it bubbled up. Its perfectly diagonal, and i KNOW i didn't see if there earlier, its like it just happened. What is causing it! Its not terribly noticeable on the projection but sometimes i can see it. I think it may only be on the AG layer, in which case it'll be gone when i do the AG strip in the future.

Just a guesse, but I would say it's on the polarizer, since they are generally oriented at 45 degrees.

Sounds like polar base on the diagonal description you mentioned. I wouldn't remove the AG unless your also planning on replacing the polar alltogether. The AG layer appears to be keeping the polar intact for now (bubble) and if you remove it then the polar will open up more (graining) immitting a definate white streak diagonally across the lcd.

I'm curious though, since you haven't attemted to remove the AG previously did you perform a 'water soak method' for the other films prior? And if you did how long did you soak it for? If you did not then it sounds like a polar application defect.

i havnt done any water soak at all, so basicly there is nothing i can do about it? Its not very noticeable, only when the screen is all black. Solong as it doesn't get worse, i can live with it. But should i decide to go all the way and remove the polar, what is a good replacement option? and how much $$ am i looking at for it?
