Ok well i have 2 questions.

1. I bought a F-type adapter for the MST controller, i hooked up the TV cable, and turned it on. it was like stuck on 1 channel and it was black and white and very staticy, how do i get a clear signal?

I might just by a TV tuner card but id rather make use of this one if possible.

2. I cant get sound from the MST controller, im not using an amp or anything, just 2 computer speakers with an audio plug (i forget what they are called), but i get no sound at all, how do i fix this?

Thanks for any help.

About the speakers:
I am guessing that the signal inputs and outputs on that are at line level, and the output would need amplification.
On the other hand, I don't have an MST controller like that, and am not sure what you are attaching the speakers to, but from your description it sounds like you are attaching them to line-level RCA output jacks.
Does that controller have an internal amplifier with a separate speaker connector(s)?
Does it have a mini 1/8" socket like you would plug a set of amplified speakers into (like from a PC)?
---------------
EDIT: I found my PDF on this, and that looks like a PC sound input.
I assume you are feeding an audio signal into the controller from whatever your source is via the audio in RCA (Red/White) jacks?
In the PDF I have, it shows that that controller has a cable connector on the back edge of the card (the front edge being the one with all the inputs) for speaker connections.
It appears it would be a 4 pin connector, with the layout being:
Pin 1: R
Pin 2: Gnd
Pin 3: Gnd
Pin 4: L

I suspect even that may be at line level and not amplified.
I'm sure someone here has used the audio inputs on one oif these and can advise.

About the tuner:
Is there any options in the OSD to change the tuner type from PAL to NTSC?
Is there a choice for scanning for channels?

The 1/8" phone jack if for PC audio only.

Check my construction plog for details on the audio connection.

Ah, yes, that's the connector I was mentioning, the 4 pin one.
I see you actually soldered the end of an 1/8th" stereo headphone jack to it.

Kawana, if you have any old dead electronics laying around, you may be able to find a suitable connector to attach to the MST board, and wire that to whatever you need, like Phil did.
It would have been nice if they had provided an audio connection.
On the other hand, if you are going to be getting some surround system, maybe your audio inputs need to be going to that instead, and be switched there. You would really only need an audio out from thsi for TV, if you get that tuner working.
