Newegg currently has three monitors with pretty good specs. The cheapest actually lists the best specs (rather that's true or not, I don't know). Anyway if any of these strip well, they are great deals at these prices. They have a couple more if you want to expand the budget up to $320 or so, but I didn't see the specs improving much/any in spending the extra cash. Anyway, here are the links.

$285

$275

$269 great specs, lowest price!

their refund policy is only if there is 8 or more DEAD PIXELS ONLY. So that could turn out to be a problem.

Also (but I'm probably mistaken.) isn't it hard to strip if there are such things as the 'built in speakers' in the monitor...?

Good find.

No, the ever-popular LiquidVideo has built-in speakers. And I'm told the only difference between the Benq 557 and 567 is that the 567 has built-in speakers...

It could I suppose, but I have dealt with Newegg a lot in the past. They have taken quite a bit of my money, and they have never told me know when I've requested an exchange.
