I was given a vidikron d-600 projector that is not currently in working condition. My guess is it is the lamp. I am curious as to how difficult it would be to retrofit a new light engine inside this puppy (assuming the rest of the PJ is in working order). Here is a link to some info I found about the thing. Apparently it was worth $10,000 at one point and has a 3 LCD 1.3" screen in there capable of 1024x768 native. I haven't gotten a chance to take it apart and look inside yet, but I just wanted to throw this out there for some input. Thanks.

Yeah, the specs on that projector are a bit outdated now, I'd say it's worth maybe $300 today with a working bulb? But yeah, I have an infocus lp350 that I won off ebay for about $50 or so. It just needs a bulb and I was thinking of trying to retrofit a bulb in that. It's an xga dlp projector that puts out 1300 lumens, it's sitting 10 feet away from me, and I can't use it dry.gif But I might just suck it up and buy the bulb since I have my DIY projector as my main projector, and I could take the portable one with me when I go to a friend's place or do guerilla drive-ins. Good luck on the retrofit, I hope you figure it out!
